Simiocracy: Six-Minute Cartoon On Spain’s Post-Crisis Crisis

In 2009 Aleix Saló produced Españistan, a cheekily irreverent cartoon on Spain’s insane housing bubble that was watched by millions of people around the globe. In 2012 he came back with the equally irreverent sequel, Simiocracy, which distills Spain’s five-year post-crisis crisis into six minutes of raging economic madness. No-one from the country’s political or business establishment — not the politicians, the economists, banksters or business leaders — escapes his withering scorn.
